In an attempt to design the Future of Fast for 2022 the less is better soccer cleat proves how sustainable materials can unlock a new level of performance.
With the training and help from Pensole Design Academy and Adidas I was able to design, prototype, and develop a soccer cleat concept at Adidas HQ.

With the Qatar world cup coming up (which was the subject of unethical practices during stadium construction) and global warming issues still in place, Adidas has the opportunity to make a statement to prove how the future of fast is sustainable in 2022.

Stiff soleplate doesn't allow natural bend
Prototyping
Turning Bioplastic into threads
Arboform is a stronger, lighter, and more elastic compared to ordinary plastics
For this concept arboform will be used to make a single material biodegradable cleat upper + soleplate.
Deliver
High tongue provides tension for lace less concept
Textured upper provides ultimate ball control
Raised cleat avoids foot slipping of during cuts
Inward force on the heel area allows cleat to grip the foot for a secure fit.
Unique heel structure is made to allow the foot to bend naturally without any restrictions
